Muay Thai Coaching
The art of Muay Thai is a dance of strategy, discipline, and unwavering spirit. At Voodoo Combat, this art finds one of its most seasoned and passionate practitioners in Paul. With every kick, every punch, and every lesson, Paul shares a legacy built over decades, not just in the ring, but in the crucible of life’s toughest challenges.
Meet Coach Paul
Head Muay Thai Coach at Voodoo Combat, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to every training session. With over 30 years of martial arts experience under his belt, he has transformed the lives of many, from budding enthusiasts to professional fighters.
Paul’s journey in Muay Thai began competitively in 1997. Over the years, he has stepped into the ring for more than 30 fights, with an impressive 12 victories through stoppages. This impressive career boasts 2 Queensland and 2 Australian titles, showcasing Paul’s expertise, determination, and skill in the sport.
However, the ring was not the only battlefield Paul faced. In 2009, during his deployment to Afghanistan with the Australian Army, he encountered an event that would change his life forever – an explosion that led to the loss of his leg. Yet, it’s in this crucible of adversity that Paul’s Muay Thai background truly shone, gifting him the physical and mental resilience to overcome the debilitating injuries he sustained.
Beyond his personal journey, Paul has been a beacon for countless fighters in both Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts. His unique coaching approach integrates mental resilience and mindset training, two elements he passionately believes are key to success in combat sports and life.
